Guitar Price is a free, reader-supported price comparison site. We collect as little data as possible and never sell or share personal information. This policy explains what we do collect and why.

What we collect

• Anonymous analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics (Baidu Tongji and Google Analytics) to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used. These tools collect aggregated page-view counts, approximate geographic region, device type, and referrer. We do not enable advertising features or cross-site tracking.
• Affiliate click tracking. When you click an outbound retailer link, that retailer may set a cookie to attribute a purchase to our site (this is how affiliate commissions work). The cookie is set by the retailer — not by us — and is governed by the retailer's own privacy policy. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
• Email correspondence. If you contact us at [email protected], we keep your message and reply for reference. We never add you to a mailing list without explicit consent.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties.
• We do not run display ads or ad networks.
• We do not use fingerprinting or device-level tracking beyond standard analytics.
• We do not require accounts, logins, or personal information to use the site.

Cookies

This site sets no first-party cookies. Third-party cookies may be set by analytics providers (Google, Baidu) and by retailers whose links you click. You can block third-party cookies in your browser settings without affecting the price tables.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to each provider's default policy (typically 14–26 months for Google Analytics). Email correspondence is retained until the inquiry is resolved, then may be archived for up to 12 months.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we collect virtually no personal data, in most cases there is nothing to delete. To exercise any right, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we add new data collection (for example, a newsletter or user accounts), this page will be updated before the feature launches. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date.
